Some new customer who bought HOLO air cooled press didn’t know how to set the machine or same machine,some user can make a beautiful joint but someone are failed even they tried many times ?

Here we list some our suggestions for your referance .

There are 3 dates need be set before start the machine .

1.Pressure

2.Dwell time

3.Temperature

Pressure :

we will always set it as 1.0 bar .No need more for normal belt .

Dwell time :

It is depends on the thickness of the belt .example, if the belt is 1mm ,then the dwell time you need set will be 1.0 minutes .2mm ,2 minutes .3mm,3 minutes …..  It is the same for smooth surface or rough top or diamond top .only consider the thickness of the belt . The silicone or teflon put on the top or bottom of the belt are not count in for thickness ,only consider the belt thickness .

Temperature:

After set the pressure and dwell time ,now only need set the temperature .

Use HOLO air cooled press ,For first joint ,PVC BELT we usually set is 180°C ,PU belt 160°C ,PVK 185°C .

But the first joint and 2^nd joint temperature setting was different. Use same thickness PVC belt as an example .the first time joint the machine temperature is 20°C, we set 185°C .then for 2^nd joint ,,the machine temperature is 50°C ，we will only need set 182°C .

If we add 2mm silicon or pad on top or bottom of the belt ,then the temperature need add 2°C more .

And of course above temperature are only our suggestion ,actually you need try and find the suitable temperature by yourselves .

To see if the temperature is suitable you need only check the back side of the belt .If the pu or pvc permeate into the back side ,then the temperature is ok .if not the temperature is not enough ,you need re-try by adding some degree ,until reach a satisfied results .

Some more reminder is for double  or multi layer joint .You will find use HOLO air cooled press for single layer joint is easy to achieve a beautiful joint .But for double or multi layer ,The finger is easily misplaced .Because the heating zone for our press is 130mm while the finger for double layer is usually 100mm .Then you may need joint two times for the same belt to help .

And it is better to mark a line on the heating zone so it is easy for place the belt in correct position .
